Join our online welcome and kickoff via our Facebook page!
Every Sunday at 1pm we’ll go “live” on our parish Facebook page to welcome everyone to the start of a new year of Faith Formation activities, even as we begin the year with at-home lessons.
At-home Faith Formation has begun!
As of 8/31/2020, Children’s Faith Formation, First Penance/First Eucharist, Youth Ministry and Teen Confirmation will beginning remotely, with at-home lessons. We’re utilizing Google Classroom as an online platform for at-home resources, quizzes, and supplemental resources. Children’s Faith Formation and First Penance/First Eucharist will use Spirit of Truth workbooks at home. First Penance/First Eucharist students will complete a simple online quiz to check for understanding, every few lessons, to make sure families are working through content at home.
2020-2021 Confirmation Classes!
Here’s our final plan for Confirmation preparation for the year. My sincerest apologies for it taking so long, but we’ve finally been able to pin something down.
We’ll be meeting over Zoom on Monday nights from 7pm-8pm. Each session will be recorded by me, in keeping with Archdiocesan guidelines. If there’s a week you have to miss, just send me an email and I’ll send you the recording. Sponsors don’t have to log onto the Zoom sessions, only the students (and parents listening in the background, should you choose!).
If you can’t make our first session on Monday, don’t worry – I can email the recording to you. We’ll be talking about the true meaning of happiness.
The Confirmation Mass is going to be Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 11am Mass, with a reception to follow.
Below you’ll find our schedule, and the links for the meeting. Please note there’s a new link after each two-week break.
|Date||Zoom Meeting Link|
|Saturday May 15||Confirmation Rehearsal, 10am in the Church|
|Sunday May 16||Confirmation Mass, 11am! Arrive by 10:30am!|
Google Classroom Information!
This year we’ll be using Google Classroom primarily as a parent resource for grades K-6. Students in older grades (i.e. Confirmation) will use it to submit some assignments. To view a tutorial for how to sign up for Google Classroom, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MStww8e0DE
Here are the class codes for the different Google Classroom. Please note that you must also fill out a registration form in order to participate in this year’s Faith Formation Programs. It’s not enough to just sign up for Google Classroom!
1st Grade: fcxrjfn
2nd Grade (First Communion): hj7buyn
3rd Grade: fy5ii4h
4th Grade: lm2otlq
5th Grade: lo43ivp

Children’s Faith Formation: Kindergarten through Grade 6
(Our 2nd grade class includes First Penance and First Communion preparation)
Confirmation: Grade 7 (or higher, if an older student has not yet been Confirmed)
Youth Ministry: Grade 8 through 12, includes a variety of activities for post-Confirmation students. More details on specific activities, meeting times, and costs will be given later in the summer.
How do I register my family?
Fill out our Faith Formation Registration Form 2020-2021. One form for all your children, Kindergarten through Grade 12 (if you have more than 8 children, grab a second form and attach it to the first). This makes it easier for us to keep track of sibling groups, in case of emergency.
If your student is preparing for First Communion (2nd grade or higher) or Confirmation (7th grade or higher), we’ll need an additional form for those programs.

Confirmation Registration Form 2020-2021
Do I really need to fill out a new form? I was in last year’s program.
Yes – even if your information hasn’t changed from last year, the Archdiocese of Seattle requires us to have current emergency medical release information on file.
How much does it cost?
For parishioners, $30 a student, with an optional family maximum of $100.
You don’t have to pay extra for First Communion or Confirmation, it’s just one fee for students in Kindergarten through Confirmation, regardless of program. The cost covers their workbook and classroom supplies. Scholarships are available, please contact the Parish Office for more information.
For non-parishioners, $100 a student. This more closely reflects the true cost per student; we’re able to subsidize the cost for parishioners, as they support the parish through their stewardship in other ways.
We aren’t asking for a fee yet for Youth Ministry activities, as those will vary depending on the activity. More information about those will be available in the late summer – in the meantime, still include your older students on the registration form, so we can have current emergency medical release information for them on file.

Students must be baptized.
Students must be at least 7 years old on May 2, 2021 (First Communion Sunday). Normally, students are in 2nd grade and turning 8 years old.
Students must have prior religious education. Normally this means they participated in last year’s 1st grade class. If you have questions about this, contact the Parish Office. If your older student needs First Communion, fill out the form – they may not necessarily join the 2nd grade class, depending on their age.
